About Us
Salla Järvi
Hi, I'm Salla Järvi, SleepInn's care and media manager. I have completed a basic degree in animal care at the educational service Hyria in Hyvinkää in 2023. During my studies, I worked part-time in a pet shop. I have been doing volunteer work for homeless cats for a couple of years now and I find it really rewarding! I am interested in almost all animals, but I chose my route with small animals, cats, dogs and also animal training. I feel like I'm at my best in the company of animals!
Animals have always been a part of my life. I still remember one of the highlights of my childhood being the weekly nature documentary on TV and of course our family's cats. I got my long-dreamed dog, Mars, in 2020. Mars wants to introduce himself thou. Thanks to Mars, I became particularly interested in training dogs and finally decided to take the big step together with my partner Arvid and setting up own dog care.
I think a pet is happy when it gets enough exercise and activation, the right kind of high-quality food, performs its species-typical behaviour and is guided positively in life's challenges. I personally enjoy seeing my own pet happy and having a strong bond with him.
Arvid Eriksson
Hi, I'm Arvid Eriksson, SleepInn's art director and I help with the daily care of the dogs. I have have been interested in entrepreneurship for a long time and now together with my partner Salla we made this brave change in our lives. I have experience in the daily care of animals. I moved from Sweden to Finland in 2022 and am slowly learning the Finnish language.
In my opinion all life is precious and all pets deserve loving home where they are being cared for. I have a lot of experience being with animals and I have followed the journey of Salla´s animal care studies.
I think the individual needs of pets should be taken into account. They should be loved, guided and we should be there with them throughout their lives. I am enjoying the journey with Mars. Seeing him happy makes me happy.
Mars
Hi, I'm Mars. I work as an assistant at SleepInn and keep an eye on our treat selection. They are really delicious! I've been lucky and got a home in Finland! I was homeless in Lithuania, found on the street but must have been at home, a nugget of gold.
I am everyone’s friend, and you can get a good wrestling buddy out of me! I know how to give space and share! I also get along well with puppies thanks to my gentle nature. You can always come and play with me and practice social skills!
In my opinion, what makes a doggy happy are treats (there doesn´t need to be a limit), activities, playing with friends, scratches and attention from my humans and treats. Did I mention treats? My parents provide all of these and more!
